| Misshapen World Weekly News June 16, 2008 - I love turtles (and their cousins, the tortoises)! This past Saturday, I rescued a large snapping turtle that was crossing the street near my house. He was very uncooperative and a bit nasty with me at first but I think he was grateful in the end. I released him to a large pond/wetland area down the street (He scurried quickly to the water and never looked back). It's in the middle oi a large field so he should be safe and he should have the opportunity to make little baby snapping turtles. I'm a little mad at myself for not having my camera with me to properly document the event but I guess I was pretty swept up in the momemt. I wish him well. May 12, 2008 - Misshapen's blog is now a comic blog featuring me and my long-time buddy Elvis. We're going to discuss the issues, both trivial and somewhat trivial. Heck, we may even through in some politics and world affairs. Not sure how often I'll be able to update it, but it should be a good time nonetheless. April 23, 2008 - Misshapen now has a blog! Why not? Everyone else does. My intent is to keep a diary of the random thoughts that often lead to my thrice-weekly comic strips. Coming Next Week (Hopefully): A Forum where we can all discuss the things are really important to us. Mar 24, 2008 - With my NCAA bracket all but destroyed, I took great pleasure to a few news stories this past weekend. The first being about the Illinois corn flake and the second about a forgetful shoplifter . Mar 12, 2008 - My friend Nevada truly was laid off yesterday. Her emergency plan is to become a best-selling author. Good thing she already wrote a book. It's called "Waiting for the Sunrise." Order it today! |

| Special Friends Section I have two friends who have written books. "Gently Now" by Jonathan Gierman "Gently Now" is a collection of short stories about people living in the margins. What does that mean, exactly? Have you ever met a person who seemed a little different but were otherwise normal, functioning members of society? Well this book is full of those people. And they're just fantastic! "Waiting for the Sunrise" by Nevada Scheffler A wonderful story of the young, selfish and impulsive, Livia and her brother Joe who set out to make amends for past indiscretions. Nevada has a way of writing that makes you feel as though you're right there with her characters every step of the way. Both books make fabulous gift for that special someone and I highly recommend them! |
